The Bay of Szczecin ( in Polish: Zalew Szczecinski ) is the Lagoon of the Odra River - it lies between Poland and Germany. The lagoon is separated from the Baltic Sea's Pomeranian Bay by the islands Uznam and Wolin. Its area is 687 km², its depth is in average 4 meters, and 6 meters at maximum. There are some nice beaches at the shore, for instance in Trzebiez or Nowe Warpno. And an opportunity for enjoying water sports.
If you follow the link below, you can watch some movies of ships and yachts sailing on the Bay of Szczecin, that I made in Trzebiez.
In Trzebiez apart from yachting you can enjoy yourself with other water sports on the Bay of Szczecin like canoeing.
Each summer there are plenty of Polish and foreign yachts to see in Trzebiez.
If you follow the link below, you can see some movies I made in the marina and on the shore.
In Trzebiez there are a few places to eat - restaurants or bars offering mainly fish but also other dishes.
In the pictures you can see a cafe located just by the Bay of Szczecin offering a nice views on ships and yachts passing by.
To get to Trzebiez by yacht one has to go by the harbour of Swinoujscie. On your water way you can admire the beautiful landscapes of the Western Pomerania. Later from Trzebiez you can continue your journey to Szczecin.
And for all who don't have boats - it's easy to get to Trzebiez from Szczecin by car or by bus - it takes about 30-40 min.
