We saw this boat trip in the brochure, and thought it looked really cool. It advertised a cruise up the Algarve's coastline, which I was eager to see because Carvoeiro was so lovely. The cruise was followed by a trip to a private beach, which included a beach barbecue.
Right off the bat, we lost about 2 hours waiting for some Russians because they're bus got lost. Then, alot of women were complaining about getting seasick, or worrying about their kids getting sick. None of them were actually sick, or looked as if they would be. If they were feeling nauseaous, it was probably cocktails the night prior! As far as the kids, they were climbing around like monkeys! So they cut the cruise WAY short, blaming 'rough' seas. We got to the beach, my boyfriend nearly stepped in a pile of dog crap and I almost stepped on a HUGE broken bottle. The beach was DIRTY. The barbecue consisted of hot dogs, sardines, pork, 'salad', stale bread, and terrible wine. I had a sliver of pork and the bread, and went away hungry (I'm iffy about hot dogs, fish, or uncooked veggies on hols, so partially my fault).
Um... It would have been great if they would have just sailed on time, despite the missing Russians. It would have been great if they just sailed up the coast. If you happen to catch them at either time, it would be good fun.
There are boats on Carvoeiro beach, that sail to the various beaches and coves. Probably cheaper than the 50 Euros we wasted. Leave a Comment
