Public Ceremonies are often held on Praca Dom Henrique next to the main avenue.
Shown in these pictures is an award ceremonie for the police.

Please correct me if I'm wrong about this but someone told me that it was right. Tipping in Portugal is 12%, and this is rarely included in the bill, although sometimes the bill tells you how much to leave as a separate amount.
