This is a large Restaurant on the main road that goes along side the river front at Lagos, It caters for people just calling in as well as for coach parties.
It's a massive restaurant with two large rooms as well as space outside.
The service is excellent and the food was lovely.
My Dad has had a really nice Chicken Piri Piri there and mymum really likes the fish, She has had Oven baked Fish before but this time she had Scabbard Fish, My Dad had Pork and i had Beef Steak House Style, my dads and mine came with chips and my mums with potatoes, It was lovely and was not expensive at all hence the large amount of Portuguese People that were in. Mine was just e7.45 and my mums fish e8.95.

I was so impressed with this restaurant on my recent visit to Lagos that i thought i will add a review on one of the popular holiday review sites but to my amazement could not find any comments on this place.Although from the restaurant name you will deduce that it does Piri Piri chicken which is very good although not the hottest i have ever tried ( I think they may tone it down a tad to cater for the tourists),they also do very nice local fish cooked to perfection. We found all of the waiting staff here to be most friendly and attentive even at peak times .Pricewise the restaurant is excellent value in particular some of the set menus are unbeatable value.for instance for 14 euros you get Vegetable soup,Chicken piri-piri or Grilled Fish ,followed by a choice of desserts and this also includes bread and butter,a glass of wine and a coffee to finish. We ate there 3 times and on reflection wish it had been more ,but you know how people like to go for a variety when so much choice around,so not saying go there every night but try it first and then judge others by the standard set here and as a footnote if the owner reads this your have very good staff both in restaurant and kitchen and we noted how hard they worked to give their clients a pleasurable time
Favorite Dish: PIRI PIRI CHICKEN and also the SEA BREAM

Whilst in Lagos you must try the A Floresta Restaurant – a Portuguese restaurant with English and Portuguese dishes. A warm welcome awaits you by “Alexander the Little” who speaks excellent English. Diners re-visit night after night. The food is excellent, the atmosphere is very friendly and the prices are considerably less than the typical touristy restaurants in the main part of the town.
The restaurant is on Rua Antonio Crisogono dos Santos which is near to Lagos marina and very close to the Tivoli Hotel and the Marina Rio Hotel. Imagine you have walked down the entrance road from the Tivoli Hotel, turn right and the A Floresta Restaurant is 30 metres away on the right hand side.
Try the sirloin steak with chips or potatoes and salad (8.50 Euros) and a bottle of house red at 5.75 Euros – you will not be disappointed
Favorite Dish: The sirloin steak was our favourite dish. A prime large piece of steak - cooked to perfection and served with pride and humour. A nice bottle of the house red is recommended.

We called here for lunch as it's bright yellow and green tables and chairs catch your eye and we wanted to go somewhere we had not been before.
The menu looks quite good and we chose off the Lunch menu, i chose Fresh Grilled Sausages and my mum had Lamb Chops.
The food arrived quickly but i was disapointed that the Fresh Grilled Sausages were in fact 2 Grilled Frankfurters certainly not what i would call Fresh Sausages. They came with an egg chips and salad. My mums lamb chops looked nice and i wish i had enquired as to their interpratation of Fresh Grille Sausages before ordering as i would have had something else.

This is simply the best place i have eaten in all Portugal and i have eaten there about 200 times over the years (not joking).
This is a little hole on the wall restaurant run by a fabulous couple who serves big portions of delicious food for very resonable prices.
the owner Luis is the guy who cooks it all and he is a magician aswell as a very friendly person.
The place has very few tables and is hugely popular with the locals, so try to arrive a little before the portugese normally eat lunch or dinner if you want a table as the place get´s packed at dinner and lunch time.
If you ever dreamed of finding the little local hangout that serves brilliant local food then this is the place you wanna go.
Favorite Dish: My personal is the dish called "bife a casinha" (beef of the house), but people who like prawms rave about his "camarao a casinha" too.
In general i would suggest any dish with "a casinha" in it as that is some recepie Luis has made himself and he is very good at that.

I've tried many tapas in various different countries, but non so nice as the ones at O Marafado! There are so many different dishes and so much thought has been put into each one! The beauty of tapas is that you can sample many different dishes!
The location is beautiful as the restaurant is set on a hilltop with amazing views!!
The staff are ever so friendly and you get very good value for money! Would definitely reccommend this place to anyone visiting this area.
Favorite Dish: There are plenty of dishes to choose from but some of my personal favourites were the chorizo in red wine, the goat's cheese with marmelade, chicken in batter with honey, the mushrooms, the pork with figs, the lamb casserole... Each has a unique taste!

It's a hilltop restaurant with great views over lagos bay and very good food. They serve tapas, which are small portions. It was very interesting as we were able to try a lot of different dishes, and the prices were great value! Will definitely go back.
Favorite Dish: I would say the goats cheese with marmalade and the chicken breasts in batter and honey.

A restaurant nice and cosy
service with a smile and spoke English, there was a nice ambiance about this place with candles on the tables, and were not to be disappointed, the food was cooked fresh .nothing was too much trouble.
Favorite Dish: Lamb Cataplana, we had heard about the Cataplanas from other visitors to Lagos but did not realy know what to expect.
It was one of the most tastiest dishes I have ever had, with potatoes and big chunks of lamb, and the dish must have been two feet around (massive),needless to say we ate most of it and went back another night for the same.
I highly reccommend it.
