This museum surrounds the Church of Santo Antonio which you'll pass through on your way round. To say this museum is a little eccentric is an understatement. It has an amazing haphazardness about it with anything and everything being displayed from Roman items to articles brought back from Macau and even bits of the Berlin wall! There's also some prehistoric items, religious artefacts, coins, money, medals, 17th and 18th century paintings and a model of, I believe, a fictional town. Well worth a visit as the church is an absolute must.
Opening hours: 09.30h to 12.30h and 14.00h to 17.00h. Closed Monday and holidays
Rua Silva Lopes
Attached to the famous 17th Century "gold" church of Santo António there is a small museum of regional items, some of which are quite odd!
