The beaches of Canaviale and Porto de Mos

Lagos can be reached by the new highway from Spain or Lisbon.
An interesting alternative in a train from the Faro (near the airport), From the trainstation taxis will bring you everywhere in Lagos, for a max of 6 euros.
The best transport in Lagos, however (especially in the inner city) are your feet!
It is great to stroll along the small houses, shops and restaurants.
From the boulevard, small boats will bring you to along many sandy beaches enclosed by red rockformations to the famous Punta de Piedade, the Southern edge of Lagos and the Algarve

there are several boat trips at a very low price here in the arbor. with 20 or 30 euros you can have a ride on a boat all the way to the caves and to the sagres cape. very nice. ill do it myself actually since the price surely pays for it.

Harbour Ferry

The harbour is about 40 meters wide. To get from one to the other side you can take the ferry boat. It is quite fast (~5min) and costs about 70 Escudos.
