I do love odceixe beach. It´s big, lots of clean sand where to lay down.
The beach joins the river when the tide is high.
It's Algarve, for sure, but don't expect very warm water.
Its beautiful beach is located in the western coast, which means cold waters, though not so cold as in the northern coast. The mouth of a small river gives some fun to the bath. If you want a less frequented area, you better try some other beaches in the area, north or south, with some good wild beaches very near.
This is the best part of this little village. You can chose from over 15 bars and tipical places. My favorites are "A do Pinto", "A do Toy and "A do Mário", all of them in the little central square.
If you stay in Odeceixe in a saturday night, you can not miss "O Bailarico"; its a tipical party with great food where you can see things that you belive just possibles in the XIX century.
