http://www.ibervillas.com/Weather.htmi went to faro in january and it was cold without a jacket. that's all relative, which is why i attached that link. it looks like it's going to be 17 centigrade and 61 fahrenheit, so a bit warmer. i wore a scarf, sweater, jacket and pants at night, a long sleeved shirt, sweater, scarf and pants during the day. faro is on the coast at the bottom of the algarve. hope that helps!

Definately a sun hat especially if like me, well there isnt so much on the top of your head as there used to be You should really pack lots of high factor sun cream for the first week or so because summertime temperatures in the Algarve can exceed 40'c.Insect repellent too and also something called baythion this is a dust used to combat Ants (nasty little things)
In the evenings (and sometimes at the beach) it's allways a little bit windy. So bring some warm clothes with you to protect a cold.
