    Old railway station (Aveiro, Portugal)

If you are in Porto, this is the best way to go to Aveiro. It takes about one hour.
The railway station is at the end of Avenida Dr. Lournço de Peixinho.

    - From Porto: São Bento railway station: Praça Almeida Garret (metro, São Bento, line D/yellow), and take the Aveiro urban linha/line.

Aveiro is in the suburban train network system of Porto, the second-largest city in Portugal about 30 minutes north of Aveiro. Operated by the national railway company called Caminhos de Ferro Portugueses (CP), there are frequent services between Porto's São Bento station to Aveiro several times a day, although most trains during non-rush hour terminates at Ovar, the city at the northern tip of Ria de Aveiro. You can purchase your ticket from an automatic machine located at the old station building, or you can use the Andante Card, the electronic payment system in Porto for the suburban trains and metro lines. A number of those who work in the Porto area but live in Aveiro use it daily, but it is also a good way for tourists to save money to go from Aveiro to Porto, or vice versa.

The main stops are: Aveiro, Estarreja, Ovar, Esmoriz, Valadares, Vila Nova de Gaia, Porto Campanhã, Porto São Bento.

If you are in the city and wanna go to S. Jacinto you can take the bus to " Forte da Barra" and from here take the "lancha"(boat) to S. Jacinto.

You can go by car too, but you should try this option ;)
