Agriculture is no longer the main activity in the area, but it still has a great influence. The annual agricultural fair, Ovibeja, is a great event, with lots of cultural and sportive activities.

When in the south of Portugal you should try some of the local cheese and sausage.
There is so much flavor in each type and there is so many different types.
During the OB Beja week you can find some of the best of the best which is available to taste and to buy.
