The biggest commercial place in Braga (I think!) this mall is exceptionally well located, not far from the centre. Each time I go there it seems... bigger with new spaces successively opening.
What to buy: All, and... a coffee.
The lady in the small coffee stand surprised me - it is not too common merging a fabulous dispatch and efficiency, with a great sympathy. Top professionalism!

For all Fly London shoes fans: Fly London shoes are made in Portugal, near Guimarães. The company is named Kyaia. The best news: they have a outlet store where they sell previous seasons for only as low as 35 Euro/ pair (women's shoes). Sometimes, there isn't a lot of choice concerning sizes/ colours/ models, it all depends on season and visitors. I'd been warned that I wouldn't find anything that would fit me (small) but I was stubborn and insisted on visiting, and I was so happy: I managed to buy 2 pairs of Fly London shoes for only 70 Euro!! :)
The factory is situated in a small village outside Guimarães: Penselo. The village is easy to find, but the factory wasn't, we had to ask several times for directions. Finally we found it. The correct name for the village is Penselo, but I found it spelled online as Pencelo (pronnounciation in Portuguese is the same for both versions).
Penselo is situated about 25km from Braga.
What to pay: 35 Euro/ pair of shoes or sandals. 20 Euro/ small leather bag. (August 2011)

Braga City Centre is a huge open air shopping mall. Only it does not have the boring lifts nor the food court stinking of greasy burgers. If you like this maybe you shouldn't bother. However, if you like busy wee streets packed with fashion, antiques, souvenirs and portuguese handcraft you have just arrived to your heaven.
Have a deep breath, check your card is in the wallet and go crazy. COmpared to UK high street prices Braga is a bit of a very cheap Portobello Road. Can you afford to miss it?
After all, you only live once...
What to buy: Now, one shop one can't overestimate is the Casa das Bananas in the busy Rua do Souto. It sells, of course, bananas but more than that an infinity of liquors from all over portugal and over the world. Some of them are, say... rather curious. The list is toped by the famous Licor de Merda (*** liquor) which the basic ingredients I can't really promise. But you have pretty falic bottles as well. Bottles with the shape of Ze' Povinho (the portuguese cheeky popular stereotype). All of this in a really traditional shop.
On the other hand, Terra Mater is the shop for over the top quality ingrdients. You will need some help from Mr. VISA here but what you get here is as good as anywhere else in the world - guaranteed!
What to pay: buddy, it depends on what you buy. Easy peezy

Actually I will not speak about shopping or if the shops on this Shopping are good or bad, I will talk about a place named “O Rei da Sangria” or in English “ the king of Sangria”. On this place you will taste a very very gooooooooooooood sangria , don’t miss!
It is located near the Avenida da Liberdade on the Largo de S. Geraldo.
