Located on the square in front of the %town hall, it's been said that it is one of the most curious pelourinhos of the district, due to its decoration, especially the snake heads sculpted on iron.
Symbol of the rights and duties of the population, here was where the lighter punishments were applied, the death penalty use to take place on a stone designated by Cabeço da Forca, and located just outside the village
This building was the Town Hall in the 1500s when the village was a municipality. Probably built during the 13th century during the reign of D. Dinis.
On the first floor was the jail and on the floor above the Town Hall. Today it's used has a gallery.
The fountain is built on the façade of the town hall. It dates from the 18th century, all made of granite and worked as if it was made of soft marble.
This tower was part of the defensive complex of Castelo Novo. When it's defensive use was no longer needed, it started to be used as Torre Sineira, with the same bells that, in medieval times, used to give the alert to the population that was working on the fields nearby. These bells still work today.
