sailin' away by arasnosliw Now I don't think we're going to drift very far in our egg-boat. Portugal dos Pequenitos is full of these strange spray painted egg halves that are yellow inside. They sit on top of buildings and structures. Now what kind of bird layed these monstrous eggs? I would not recommend jumping into an egg. They are flimsy, and the water we are in is gated off. Hence, we SHOULD have kept out. Sorry I am too mischevious to resist. Leave a Comment

Cars, cars, and everything looking for a parking.. by Henrik_rrb I have really no idea why, but it seems like all people in Coimbra ows at least 5 cars each. And they love to park them everythere... So make sure you have plenty of time when visiting the city, because you'll need about an hour to find a place to put your car... After driving around for about half an hour, getting more and more lost for each minute that past by, we finally found ourselves up in a villa area, where we more or less parked on someone's private parking... Well, it worked in Lisbon, and it worked in Coimbra. Thankfully not too many parking guards out during the Euro 2004 apparently. :) Leave a Comment

hey lover boy by arasnosliw watch out for these big boys, i've taken a fond liking to them. I tried to climb up into his arms and take a nap, but the security guard made me get down. the statues at Portugal dos Pequenitos are very fun to take photos with. Leave a Comment

by acemj C'mon, admit it. Most of us VTers are internet junkies, but don't spend all of your time surfing the web when you're traveling. Internet cafes are great places to keep in touch and check in with VT and Coimbra has some good places. This one is located on Avenida Sa de Bandeira. Leave a Comment

by rp6686 In general Coimbra is a safe city, i've never had any problem. It's resonable safe to go anywhere anytime but, as a precaution avoid Jardim da Sereia after 20:00... at night it is frequented by addicts. During the day it's ok to go there and appreciate its beauty. It's located in front of Praça da República. Leave a Comment
