  • Ermida de São Francisco

    XVi century. Build in the old Rossio de El-Rei, it had then the designation of S. Sebastião. It had important rebuilds in the XVIII century to adapt to the new up comming religious Order Terceira de São Francisco. Its still has the late-gothic manueline style holy-water reservoir on the inside.

    If you want to taste local food and "petiscos" from the Alentejo region this is a must in town. Great cheese, olives and all other local products. Great local decoration and ambiance.

    Favorite Dish: Olives are very tasty. Nice bread. If you like wine hits is also a great place to enjoy local quality wines.
