    The city was recaptured from the Moors 1166, and almost immediately the work began on the cathedral, which is a fine monument of romanesque architecture.

    The interior is interesting, the museum has a couple of exhibits worth looking at but it is the cloisters and the views from the roof that make a visit to Evora's Cathedral special.
