There is a taxi-stand at Praca de Giraldo, the main square of Evora. It is certainly the best option to go by taxi to this prehistoric stone-ring , the distance of about 17 km from Evora, at first they will drive over the road #114,a well-asphalted road and finally over some km on a dusty road without asphalt, always following the signposts with the inscription of "Cromeleque/menir dos Almendres"
One way took us about 20 minutes and at many places we had to speed down for "sleeping policemen" The taxiride was 8 euros for each person, so you should calculate around 32 euros for a taxi taking you there and back and giving you about 15-20 minutes there to enjoy the special place, make some photos and drive back to Evora again.
The village of Guadalupe is about 1 km from the stone-ring,maybe there is a public bus going there from Evora as well, but I could not see any busstation in that small village.
Taxis are not that hard to get in Evora. But you just need to know where they usually are stoped right? On the main square you'll see aside from the fountain the taxis parking place.
This picture on the main square Praca do Giraldo and you can notice the 16th century Santo Antao church and the the 16th century Henriquina Fountain built by the brothers of Arruda.
When you arrive by bus, you can take a taxi just outside the bus terminal building. I'm sure drivers will understand where you want to go if you already know the name of the hotel you want to go. If you're not sure and just want to go to the tourism office to get a general idea of something just say "turismo-giraldo" and they will take you to the main square, the centre of the city and where you can go where ever you wish (everything's near from here). the tourism office is located near where the taxis stop.

Just call the Radio Taxis and this is for sure the best (they will pick you up anywhere). You start paying only when you get in the cab.
