Church Square
johnsakura Says:
This is the view from the church square. This is a little square that I think is always empty. The houses are typical from the region and the white color is just great along with some colored stripes of some houses.

This is the restaurant just besides the very high point on top of the hill. You can enjoy a very nice view while you have lunch or just a small snack.

Herd of sheeps
johnsakura Says:
Local industry gives herd of cows and sheeps a very big importance. You can see on the picture hundreds of sheeps.
Old house
johnsakura Says:
This is one of the few places in town which is not painted newevery year. I wonder why. Like I say this is not a normal house in the village.
Decorated houses
johnsakura Says:
People seem to love to decorate thei house like a competition to the next door neighbor: Every year houses in the village are painted new.
Tractor's
johnsakura Says:
Many people have this instrument to crop their fields. If you search around the region you can luckly see some machines working.
Dog
This dog was barking out loud at me. I think that if he could he would bite me... so if you see him on the strets just be careful. Ha! ;o)

Bench on the main square
This bench is just great to rest if you walk by foot since the lower part of the village. The village starts in a lower part having the rest of the houses and the centre on the top of a hill.
Unique Suggestions: Enjoy, relax.

Sightseing point
johnsakura Says:
This is a must in the village. Although you can easily miss it. Just go up the village until the highest point. You'll reach a very tall water deposit (tall for the size of the village of course), the water deposit is made in the sight seing point.
Alentejo green fields
johnsakura Says:
The fields around São Bartolomeu do Outeiro are very green during Spring time. This is an amazing picture with very nice colors. The sun was behind the hill so all the little grass was showing its color 100 percent.
Herd of cows
johnsakura Says:
More cows. I just love them. Its a great animal, very curious. In Alentejo there are fields and fields full of herds of cows.
Lower part of village
Favorite thing: This street scene is the lower part of the village. The majority of the village's old buildings are situated on top of the hill or going up the hill. Very interesting. You have to climb a bit.
