Explore Vale de Moura
House
johnsakura Says:
House near the water dam. this house is located in front of a huge farm so I think the people that live here are the employes of the farm. Also on this house was located the light generator which was already switched by municipal electricity of course.
Crops
johnsakura Says:
Wheat fields already croped. the water in the region provided by the near water dam makes suitable to plant things like this.
Farm
johnsakura Says:
Another farm that can be found on our way in the Vale de Moura. This one is particulary interesting as it has a few palm trees planted.
Fauna/Flora
johnsakura Says:
Here you can see how the animals co-exist with the trees. on the picture you can see a cow and a cork tree already with its cork taken. It had a number 3 painted so I know the cork was taken last year 2003.

So much water exists in this Valley of the Moor. You'll be able to see a lot of small lakes like this one in your way.In my visit I got a scecial envirnment due to the rains we had the days before so more water could be found.
Horses
johnsakura Says:
In this place you'll find lots of cows and horses. After the water dam there's a farm that has about 10 horses free in the fields.
Olive trees
johnsakura Says:
Fields with olive trees align like this can be found in the area. It gives a very special scenery to see trees aligned like this. You can notice they are very well treated and imagine how good the olive oil that comes out from those olives should taste.
Stork nests
johnsakura Says:
There exist hundreds of nest like these. Its amazing how the storks use these trees to creat flat residences for birds hehe. I went near to take a picture but they all got scared and flew away.
Vale de Moura water dam
johnsakura Says:
Very special place were anul migratory birds come to nest and sleep. This water dam is very important for the area because it make possible to grow different crops. Lots of animal can be found in the area.
Leveled growing fileds
johnsakura Says:
This is an amazing thing to see and very unusual in the region. usually you only find this type of agriculture in the north part of the country. As here exists a water dam nearby, water is suppied to be able to make this type of agriculture. As in the days before i want here...
1st farm with windmil
johnsakura Says:
This is the first farm you find as you go out of the main road to Viana do Alentejo. Is maybe 20 minutes before the water dam. This gives one amazing scenery along with the flowers, the horses and the windmil.
End of journey: End of journey
This is the last gate of my trip. I got in a dirt road almost 20 kilometres before and this was the last gate after the farms of Vale de Moura and Zambujeiro.
