Water Spots in Figueira da Foz
mcb Says: Figueira da Foz is a great city and need a page just for it.Here i'm just thinking about water spots. Figueira da Foz have this great river, Mondego, great for water sports.I usually go for a boat trip, or water motorbyke try.
mcb Says: 3 km from Vieira de Leiria is Vieira Beach.Is a beach smaller then Pedrogão but with their own live too.There is where Liz River ends.
mcb Says: Vieira is an importante spot when you are visiting Coimbrão Zone, it is where the Supermarkets, the banks, medical care etc are.
mcb Says: Pedrogão beach is a large beach some km, quite near coimbrão too. (About 6 km).It is a clean beach with the blue European flag.The unique problem is the sea that is cold and dangerous.
mcb Says: 5 Km From Coimbrão, there is Ervideira Lagoon, a small lagoon great for swimming. the water is good, not salt, and the lagoon is in the middle of pine trees wood, in summer weekend can be full but in winter or spring is as beautiful as a natural silence water spot can be.
Coimbrão's Camping: Camping and bungalows
mcb Says: It a small camping site, inside Coimbrão. Manage by Germany people in a very quit place. It has a swimming pool and all services.There are two more camping spots near the beach, one in Pedrogão Beach and another in Vieira Beach
Solar: not really a restaurant, a bar or a coffe shop
mcb Says: It is a Coffe shop in Coimbrão is one of others but the one i ussualy go.It is open until 2:00 am and you can spend a great time there. they don't serve meal but they always have somethings to eat, some snakes and drinks

mcb Says: It is a regular restaurant that I like a lot.It isn't expensive it is a quick service. Feijoada à Brasileira- Brasilian Beans.Just served at sundays.

Bar do Holandes is a regular Bar in Pedrogão Beach, there are some more but usually i go to this one, i think because they have a lots of different kinds of beers.

It is a street market, where you can buy a lot of stuff.
Very typicall but it isn't a tipycal market.
What to buy: Clothes, toys, bad tecnologic things, shoes, fruits etc
What to pay: T-shirt 5€, Shoes 15€, etc...

mcb Says: In Pedrogao beach they still use this kind of way to fish, in summer for tourist.They get in to the sea on those boats of the picture, and come back full of Sardinhas.It is wonderful be on beach and buy fresh fish on it.They don't use the animals any more.
mcb Says: It isn't all times and it never happened in Coimbrão, but, near by sometimes there are More often there are Bullfight in Nazaré, 50 km South from Coimbrão.

In the middle of some horrible houses that makes Coimbrão there are some unique.
The one in Picture is one of the old typical houses of Coimbrão.
But there are two or three old rich houses that are beautiful

It is really difficult to explain how is the feeling of a wall around Ervideira Lagoon but it is great.
It is a lagoon surround by pone trees, fresh water good for swim..
On spring the sunset is beautiful and you ear the birds singing and frogs, some duck go there too...

My Favorite Hollidays and weekends
Coimbrao is 150 Km North from Lisbon. It is 6 Km from Coast. The best way to get there by car is from Highway A8 till Marinha Grande, then Vieira de Leiria and after... Coimbrao. It is a very good...
