Peniche is one of the best places in Portugal (which means...in the world) to eat fish - fresh and cheap.
I had the experience at this restaurant, and enjoyed the freshness of the food, the criterious cooking and the popular price. Good.
Favorite Dish: Grilled fish. They suggest the fishes of the day, and... you only have to choose

The Pastelaria Brismar is a centrally located pastry shop and café. It doubles as an ice cream parlour and you can also buy lottery tickets. They have a large outdoor sitting area but when we visited it was somewhat too windy so we prefered to sit inside for our ice cream.

The tourist office in Peniche had told us that there was a café by the light house. Since we walked around the peninsula we were only to happy when we saw that the upmarket looking restaurant had a self-service café with an outdoor sitting terrace with a view of the spectacular rocky outcrop in the sea.
On top of the restaurant and café there is a public lookout to view the coastline.
Favorite Dish: We ordered ice tea and a mixed toast which is in Portugal a ham and cheese toast. The drink and food was brought to us. The ice tea was Euro 1.25 and the toast Euro 1.80 which was very cheap for such a touristy spot.
