We came to Peniche by bus from Nazaré. The journey just took over an hour and cost Euro 8.50 each way on a Rede Expressos bus.
Beware that the main bus station in Peniche is a bit outside the town center on Rua Dr. Ernesto Moreira. That’s where all the long distance buses leave from. Since we got dropped there on our arrival it wasn’t a problem as it’s a short walk to the center and the tourist office. But we were told at the tourist office that sometimes the buses drop off the people in the town center and then the tourists assume that’s where the buses will depart from again which they are not.
At the bus terminal you will also find toilets and a snack bar.
