CASA DE SANTA MARIA was built in 1902 in a prime location overlooking Cascais Bay. This palatial house of extraordinary beauty is the work of Jorge O'Neill and architect Raul Lino. the SANTA MARIA HOUSE architectural style is typically Mediterranean with lots of natural daylight and strong Arab influence, including impressive iron arches and decorative tiles.
I thought the house was absolutely wonderful. I wandered into the courtyard and found it to be open that day. I have a separate tip on the interior of this amazing house.

    Open from 10:00 a.m to 1:00 p.m. & 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. every day except Mondays and public holidays
