    Ericeira Streets - 1 of 4

    by el_ruso Updated May 17, 2007

Ericeira is a surprisingly beautiful town that will charm you immediately and that you will never forget. Here streets are lined with typical whitewashed houses with blue window surrounds, and it shows that its residents are proud of it. It is very clean and well maintained.

    Praia dos Pescadores

by braraujo Written Jan 1, 2005

This beach is located in the center of the village. It is a small beach, very apreciated because the peer makes the beach a very safe one for children. As a result of that, years of sea blocking have turned the peer into ruins. Even the lighthouse it once had is now in the bottom of the sea.
In the sand you can find places to play beach volley, beach football and even basketball.
In the summer it can be overcrowded and sometimes is even difficult to find a place to put a towel. You can always use the football field... but at your own risk. ;)

    Ericeira fishing village

Ericeira fishing village, 50 kilometers north of Lisboa.
Small village that has excellent seafood restaurants with extremely good value.
We were living in the hotel Grand turismo Ericeira. Nice hotel with 3 swimming pools(or 4), one with sea water. Located superbly, by the sea. Ask balcony to the west, so you can see absolutely beautiful sunsets.

Our balcony was to the south, so we sat on the rocks by the waterfront, sipping red wine and watching this magnificent act of mother nature. So so romantic!

What we can see in the painting is that the square was very different... but there was a palm tree already...

A curious square. A palm tree that gives the name to the square... probably another one because on the wall there is a azulejo that tells something more....
