Museums, parks, and culture, Lisbon
...There is a restaurant and a small café where refreshments can be taken before moving on.
Don't be surprised to find peacocks just walking by, antique stones or even bizarre statues!
...The huge tank in the middle contains bad looking big sharks swimming above your head!
Isn't that baby just cute?!!
Favorite thing: ...It presents marine life and animals of the five oceans in their environments which are close to real life...
It is located in the Parque des Nacões, is the largest in Europe. It was a good resting spot from the outside heat :-)
PARQUE DES NACÕES (the Park of Nations)
It was built for the Lisbon Expo 1998.
Today this area is a good place for shopping and leisure time...
Lisbon has a lot of beautiful gardens.
Favorite thing: If you want to go to the EXPO-area the oceanarium is a good choice. The tower (picture) is nice to see, but the view from the top is not really worth to pay 500 escudos for it.
I spent one several hours in the Aquarium in the Parcque de Nacoes.
I can really recommend a visit of the aquarium.
