    Ribeira market

This market is next to the Cais do Sodré train station. During the week, it's a regular produce and meat market, but on weekends there are other attractions, including concerts. On the first Sunday of each month--the day I was there--the second floor of the market is reserved for coin and stamp collectors, who pack the place, trading furiously. I wasn't expecting this at all, but it was pretty interesting as a sociological study!

Malls.. they have nice malls, here are a few..
Colombo, which is at subway station College Militar-Luz, opened until midnight every day, a new, large ritzy mall, quite expensive.

Saldehnia mall is a nice smaller mall, and it's just so nicely made, near the Saldehnia subway. The picture you see, is the Saldehnia mall.

Another mall is Amoreirus (or something like that!) located at subway stop, Marques De Pompal.
Colombo has an amazing food court and amazing movie theatre (they seat you!)

Well, for me one of the most interesting things to do is to see shops... all kind... clothes, furniture, linnen, shoes, bags... I'm sorry, I know many people, specilly mens, don't like this activity...
One of the best places in Lisbon to do shopping is the Comercial Center Colombo, near the place I live. I go there on foot after dinner, just to walk a litle.

A huge shopping-paradise! There´s everything you can dream of and a lot that you didn´t even dream about yet. Be aware: you might end up spending some serious money there. Check out also the movie theathers on the top floor.

On the second floor of the Ribeira market, underneath the dome, the coin collectors were making the most of their day.

If you want to go a shopping Center, choose Colombo, Amoreiras or Vasco da Gama...(see the photo at the EXPO travelogue).
