This pavilion is an excelent space for many different events. In 2001 was home of the Indoor World Athletics Championship.
When I was in Lisbon the EXPO took place here. We were on a guided tour and didn't have enough time to visit the whole area. The photo shows you a view on the EXPO-area.
The Lisbon Aquarium is the bigest aquarium in Europe, and probably one of the modern ones. It was constructed on 1998 for the EXPO98 exhibit.

The 'Jardim Botanico' close to the academy of Sciences who run it; it has a remarkable subtropical flora and palm tree collection.
