Favorite thing: this stretch of beach lacks all the hype of the northern beaches. the beach is WIDE, vast, and relatively clean.

Favorite thing: The less-populated beaches are wide enough to cater to a variety of beach sports. Football, volleyball, paddleball, you name it.

Favorite thing: ...or instead of partaking in sports, you can opt to just lie underneath a colorful beach umbrella. Plenty of obnoxious beach-vendors will be more than willing to sell you one!

Favorite thing: Just to reiterate, the beaches closest to Lisbon are the most crowded. It's a chaotic, wild, smelly zoo full of tan-bodied people.
