Via Caparica: Family run restaurant
This restaurant is nothing to look at and is on the main shopping street in Caparica BUT it caught our eye as the place was buzzing with seemingly local people. The waiter was about 18 years old and was funny friendly and very helpful.
We came a couple of times and both time were very good. A couple of beers while waiting for the food made the wait seem short. We sat outside on both nights and just people watched.
Favorite Dish: This dish of seafodd was really good and filling. A basket of bread was all that was needed to soak up the lovely juices.
Copacabana: prato do dia
A prato do dia (dish of the day) is always a good option for lunch. We rented an apartment and ate out very rarely here, but liked Copacabana. Good pastries as well.
Careful with the appetizers, though: if you touch them all (olives, bread, cheese etc.) you can end up being charged a lot extra.
Favorite Dish: We tried "arroz de tamboril" and found it definitely OK.
