Last time I visited Ponte de Lima, which was after I joined VT, I meet Nat (member ncfg) who lives there. She was so kind and welcoming to us and took some time to show us around. She is indeed a good "ambassador" to her hometown and to Portugal. Thank you so much Nat for the nice time we had in Ponte de Lima.

Walk, that is the best way to know Ponte de Lima. Cross the bridge to the other side and spend some time on the park you'll find there. On your way back to Ponte de Lima admire the river, the surrounding mountains and the city seen from the bridge. Go to the square (Largo de Camões) and from there walk through the streets and admire the architecture, notice the people, visit the churches or go inside some of the still remaining "old times" shops. Enjoy yourself there - it is a fabulous village.

The mannor houses, the nice ancient buildings, the cobbled streets, the narrow streets, the people walking through - a place with its own life, ...

Ponte de Lima is very cozy, since it isn't too big. And everything seems to be cheerfully arranged, with beautiful flowers on the balconys, ... and some nice streets only for pedestrians.

A city to discover by foot, walking around and chating to locals. Northern people are know as being very nice to "foreigners".

An atmosphere of past times, ... yet everything beautifully arranged and well maintained.
