The Termas of Chaves (Thermal springs) are located a few minutes from the city centre by foot. It seems that is one of the hottest springs in Europe. That water attracts both tourists and people seeking the treatment of rheumatism, kidney dysfunction and hypertension. The Water bubbles up at a temperature of 73ºC (163º F).more

Well it seems that are usual to find this kind of nice transportation on the towns. Actually i didn't try it this time on this town but i can say that it is a good way to do a tourist circuit.
Pedra Bolideira is a giant granite rock located 18 kilometers outside Chaves.
It's just one of many giant rocks in the area, but this one is a little different as it has broken in to two many thousadn years ago and despite weighing several tonnes and being 10 times 3 meters you are able to make it move by giving it a little push.
It looks like the rock has been cut in two with some giant knife and it's a bit of an odd sight.
Pedral Bolideira is quite out of the way but it's a nice drive up the mountain in almost 1000 meters altitude where it's located, so i would say it's worth a visit.
The river that runs in Chaves is the river Tamega. I loved the colour of that river so peaceful.
You can admire some swans and ducks there.
