The Cultural Center in Lagos is an ideal place to find free or inexpensive entertainment, especially in the summer. The center works very hard - and successfully - to have a wide variety of popular musical entertainments, plays, and exhibitions that appeal to many different types of audiences. In the summer there is entertainment every evening. It is an inexpensive and interesting place to meet Lacobrigenses and travellers. Refreshments are available. Informal.
SINES, south of Lisbon have many nice small pubs/cafés and also some night clubs. The best is to walk on the streets around the old castle and you will find many places to go for a beer. Do not forget to walk the street down on the right side of the castle, there you will find two of the best pubs in town. In some places it is very young people and in some it is more variation, so the dress code varies.
If u are a backpacker: go to Bairro Alto and try one of the million different bars.if u want to have something closer to the sea: try the docas under the bridge. it's like a street of nice bars and mini discos next to the water. exotic!any of the big and famous discotecs will ask for fancy dressing or a fortune at the door. Best disco is Kapital, but practicly impossible to get there unless u have a suit.
THE STRIP AND OLD TOWN albufeira algarveits a must see and do,THE STRIP-is about 1 mile long single road hardy no traffic,packed with bars,resturants,small market,odd variaty off shops its worth seeing just for the experiance.recomended bars-La Bambas,Libertos,Reno's,Garage,Linekers and also the Kiss night club.OLD TOWN the same but has lots more sites and culture. ANYTHING YOU WAN
There was a strip of clubs near the waterfront, I'm sorry, I don't remember any names. It was a bit sketchy, and they only let guys in for free once in awhile. All the places were packed, you'll definitely meet a few interesting people. Lauren and I break-danced with some 10 year olds at one place at 3 in the morning. (I guess they're allowed to stay out that late in Portugal) Dress up if you want to try to get in without paying cover charges. Guys, try not to look American =D

Go PUB HOPPING through the Bairro Alto area here in Lisboa, Sip some Vinho Tinto wine (you absolutely must!) and listen to some Fado music (even if you, like me, don't like sedate classical-like/ folk music)....
bar Shot's in the Dark in Lagos.if you want to meet new people from all over the world, taste 69 kinds of drinks (in shots - better not at one sitting), listen to fine music and dance and sing... till the sun wake up go to the 'Shot's in the Dark'. This place is a killer. It's a happening Canadian bar down by the beach. The people who work here make you roll dice to take shots. every dress is good (maybe except suit), you may go here even undressed.
Perhaps not the most exciting place in town, but the British owner of the place can tell you a lot about the area. It's a nice old-fashioned British pub whith a relaxed atmosphere.You can also visit for a simple dinner or try out the local Port. Just be yourself
