When I was there, in April, it was a warm weather but when we go to the highest peaks it was rather cold, so don’t forget a coat.
Don't, but don't forget your camera, you will have great places to take amazing photos.

I stayed way up in the mountains where it seems to rain every day, so pack some light rain gear for warm went weather.....and maybe a little umbrella.
Also as there are wonderful levada walks throughout the island, pack comfortable walking shoes and be prepared to get carried away walking for miles.
Insect repellant is a necessity anywhere that you might be tempted to go walking through the forests.
I would bring plenty of spare memory for your digital camera as the scenery here is so very beautiful that you'll just keep on snapping. Leave a Comment

Light clothing, sandals, comfy walking / hiking shoes if so inclined. Even if it looks cloudy and so-so in the morning, chances are it WILL be a sunny day.
Sun-lotion, and dont forget your hat as the sun can be rather strong.
Most definitely, as there are SOO many opportunities for great pics. I took my trusted little Olympus digital, with a reg. film-Olympus along just in case, and of course a Video camera is almost a must.
Because I like so see the images as soon as I can, I took along my laptop to transfer the digital images on the PC after each trip. In those 10 days I probably took about 600 pics, but then again I am a shutterbug :-))
What I found handy is one of those inexpensive light jackets with umpteen pockets to keep small items (see pic). Leave a Comment
