I was travelling along with my friend Mira and we were advised to have a lunch at this restaurant.
This is a local restaurant with a bar where you can taste traditional azorean food. Unfortunatelly we had to wait for about one hour after ordering our dishes, in spite of having only four people in the restaurant.
Our dishes were tasty and we liked very much to eat here, but I've found liver a little salty.
Here they have home made bread and a good vinho de cheiro, our local red wine.
Usually liver is served with rice and chips, but you can change them if you wish.

Favorite Dish: Iscas de fígado and Chicharros fritos com molho de vilão. Molho de vilão is a sauce made of red wine, garlic, pepper and red pepper powder and it was served separately.
For dessert, try colchão da noiva.

Iscas de fígado = pieces of fried liver
Chicarros fritos = fried Trachurus trachurus

This waterfall is located at Achada village.
Around this place one can see some endemic plants inside the Parque Natural da Ribeira dos Caldeirões along the river and some beautiful water mill, one of which still working.
