Located in the south margin of Furnas lake, this Centre has been recently opened. A must visit for everyone to learn about the natural heritage of Furnas Lake and its watershed area. It is also the front desk of an ambitious environmental project, one of its biggest in Portugal, to recuperate the water quality of the lake.

If you are interested to know in details the eco-system of the lake, see and touch the volcanic rocks and learn more about the environmental project involving the lake, this is one place you cannot miss.

The staff of the Centre are extremely friendly and they provide you a very illuminating guided tour, 40 mins tour for only 2,50euro.
