    This is the largest lavic tunnel of the Azores, and perhaps the only one in the world inside a town: more than 1km length and 13m width.
    To visit this regional monument, you need to contact the Ecologic Association "Amigos dos Açores".

    This is my favourite place when I need to buy fresh vegetables and fruits. Here you can find a well known shop, just on the right site of the main entrance, specialized in our regional products, namely cheeses, liquors and sweets.
    Don't forget to visit the shops of our artisanat.

    Address: Rua do Mercado (close to Teatro Micaelense).

    I have no idea what this is, but it looks modest from the street but sounds quite wild. If you're interested, you can find it at Rua Joao Melo Abreu (near the marina)

    It is very tipycal here: visit a plantation of pineapple. People there will tell you how they work with pineapples (ananas in Portuguese): pineapples need 2 years to grow!
