The restaurant is built on an old threshing floor using original materials. They serve Azorean meat, fish and shellfish from the island, cooked in the oven or on the grill. Vegetarian dishes with organic vegetables (grown on the adjacent organic farm) are also available. We were there on a rainy winter evening so missed out on the view (on a clear day there is a wonderful view of Pico) but the service was warm and welcoming, the wood stove was comforting and the food was superb.
Favorite Dish: House specialties include traditional meat and fish from the island ,eg. "cataplanas cooked in a stone oven or over an open fire .
Very nice tipical rural house of Faja Grande-Flores, on the historic footpath to the ancient whale-watching post of 'Vigia da Baleia' Very good food, music. information.
Favorite Dish: Ravioli, Tortelloni , vegetarian, cakes & ice creams everything homemade.
I have never had "lapas" (in the pic) before and I loved them! This restaurant is also for locals (not tourist). Very good and cheap
Here you eat the cozido cooked with the heat of the land. Take care: you can only have it if you previously called the restaurant to book. It is located in Povoaçao (Furnas)
