All kinds of yummy local Sandwiches are available in Das Sandes fast food series of restaurants!it is also placed in many different places of Lisbon, but the best are in the centre of the city, but a fact that there are tens of people crowded to eat there will force you to wait for your turn!
It is truly a great solution to have a snack, or lunch or even a dinner in McDonalds when you are traveling and far from any local restaurant, McDonalds are always relativly cheap and you will be served quickley and the most important things that there are McDonalds every where,we can talk here about a modern phenomenon: The McDonaldization LOL
Well, almost all the towns in Portugal has at lest one Chinese Restaurant. Lucky me! I love Chinese food.The one on my photo i sure recommend you, it is located in Braga (Minho region - Northen Portugal) near the Feira Nova shopping mall.The inside is beautiful and the food very good, so if you are a lover of Chinese food don’t forget the name Muralha da China (Great Wall). All the dishes are good, but don't forget to eat using the chopsticks ;-)
La Brasserie De L'entrcote in Lisbon is absolutely perfect if you are a lover of steak and a disaster if you like anything else.To describe this as a steakhouse does not do it justice. It is a top class restaurant with a great selection of wine and excellent service. The menu is real easy...your choice is rare, medium or well done because all they serve is steak. The steak is done to perfection but what probably makes this a real treat is the sauce which they claim is a secret receipe and contains 56 different herbs and spices....and it is just fantastic.The ambiance of the restaurant is lively and relaxed but high quality. The resttaurant has similar establishments in Brazil and I think there may be one in Paris.If you are in Lisbon don't mis this place. steak....and er...di I say steak....but the secret ingredient is the sauce !
Well, if you want a really good and typical restaurant don't miss D. Roberto restaurant. It is located 5 km from Bragança, on the way to Quintanilha, in Gimonde, the old village of three bridges.You just look my photo; it is a medieval house with wood balconies and the inside with a beautiful decoration with old typical objects, just the perfect environment to have a great dinner. This restaurant is famous because the called Posta transmontana, it is gorgeous meat of the local cows.You can see pics of the inside and outside on its webside but the info is in Portuguese.
This is a little known place that has only 6 tables and is stashed in the back of the Quinta de Regulaira grounds.The chef there is a Swiss woman who makes some of the best deserts we have had anywhere in the world.For a great treat, go there during lunchtime, sit on the terrace and get a coffee and a desert and enjoy the view. We love going there for dinner once a month and trying the special that is usually some kind of pork or fish dish. But we always finish off with a chocolate parfait.
This is just an observation, which perhaps isnýt fact, but seems to be..The food portions in Portuguese restaurants are much larger than in other parts of Southern Europe. I was unable to finish my meal several times because there was so much food.. coming from the States, this is normal.. but in a place such as Spain, you usually get the amount of food you can eat at one sitting. Fish and potatoes dishes tend to be huge.
It is a great restaurant in Setubal, where you eat the best fried spoiled in Portugal.We'd tried some others restaurants near, in Setubal but none was good as Rei do choco... Fried spoiled, made from big spoiled and fried, served with French fries and salad.Goes very well with the white wine of the house.The deserts are good too they have an eggs pudim delicious.
