Sportugal

by SonOfLusus

The province of Algarve has gained the nickname of 'Sportugal.' Portugal is now one of Europe's top golf destinations. Its world-class golf courses around Lisbon and Algarve now attract visitors from all over the world. Just as popular, but among surfers, are the beaches on the western Atlantic coast. The beaches of Ericeira for example, have held world surfing championships. Fans of that sport should also check out the nearby waters of Peniche and Santa Cruz. sport lisboa e benfica

by quartinb

from my point of view, the best soccer club in the world. like a disease. once born benfica one must die benfica.if yu came to portugal, lisboa, a soccer game at the CATHEDRAL, is the breathtaking experience to take. the new (estadio da luz) stadium of light is the gattering spot for benfica supporters to suffer and rejoy every week. it's a religion.please clickinferno

Goal!!!!

by acemj

Soccer is a national obsession like it is in most European countries. With the Euro2004 tournament coming up, the country was particularly interested in the sport during my visit. The two most well-known teams are Benfica in Lisbon and their rivals from the north pictured here, FC Porto. The season runs from September to May.
