You can’t beat the location of this restaurant, between Pizana beach and the marina, just outside the walls of the old town. I think there’s inside seating too, but you come first to the outside veranda and the view will probably keep you there. The beach and café/bar/restaurant space aren’t as large as what’s on the other side of the old town, and seating is more spread out, so I found it more pleasant for lunch and coffee.
They were in the process of changing menus, so most of what was listed as typical Montenegrin wasn’t available at the time. The food I had here on a couple of occasions (continental/Italian) was good, if surprisingly a bit bland (probably because I had just come from eastern Serbia, where food has strong flavors). Service was good, relaxed, and friendly.

When I was acquiring for a room price offer at Avala Hotel they informed of a special half board offer which is including dinner and breakfast. Usually I wouldn’t take such offer but with the food it was cheaper then without it ;-) So that was the deal and we did had nice dinner and breakfast at that hotel at the nice top location with cool breeze in the evening and beautiful view for breakfast (image II)

I didn’t notice here any of the international fast food chains and those anyway are not missed anyway, is someone just want a snack or to gram something to eat the local traditional food vendors can offer nice choices of sandwiches, hamburgers, schnitzel, fish, salads etc.
You can find some good cheap options on the promenade, in front of the old city as well as in the old city itself.

If you happened to spend your time by the beach, there were few places restaurants and cafe that will serve you a drink or food where ever you are all the way to the waterline. I only had a drink in these places, not food so I can’t recommend any food, but the drinks were as good as anywhere else.

Restaurant Jadran which is called in local Restoran Jadran is a perfect place for the tourist to try and taste some of the local food. It is located just outside the old town on the walkway by the by the small harbour. They serve traditional food and interesting fresh sea food. All with quick friendly service and a great sea view.

Restaurant and Cafe Mozart is just by the main entry gate to the old town. It seems to be most popular and most touristic place but we gave it a shot and wanted to try it. Unfortunately they didn’t have any kremšnita here, so I picked up from the menu something that seems the closest to kremšnita (see image IV)
Oh well, yes, it was nice, but not as good as Samobor kremšnita, of course not ;-)

This was probably my favourite cafe in the old town. This places called MB IceClub, I think they do serve ice-cream and cocktails, but I don’t really know, what I know that while hanging around in the old town I spotted this place just in one of the main small squares, a cool corner in the heat of the day, perfect for cup of cappuccino we well as for fresh juice cold drinks and cold beer of course.

Just behind Slovenska Plaza walking past one evening and were tempted. Good choice of local food on the menu and all very tasty. Mrs Bonio enjoyed her vegetarian meal too.
Busy, friendly, good food at a good price - enjoyed.
