Isle of Flowers is links to the name of historically significant personalities - Countess Ekaterina Vlastelinovic, which in the 19th century, bought the southern part of the said islands. On the island she reconstructed a church of the Holy Trinity. Countess Vlastimirovic as a nun here spent her widowhood life.
Ekaterina was the daughter of the famous Zadar poet Jovan Sundecica, personal secretary of Montenegrin Prince Nikola. Ekaterina brother Spiridon Sundecic was Archimandrite of Monastery Savina in Herceg Novi. Enviable wealth, which is part of Ekaterina acquired and marrying a famous nobleman Ilija Vlastelinovica from Risanj, Countess invested in the reconstruction of religious monuments on the this island.
