The Holy Trinity church
Isle of Flowers is links to the name of historically significant personalities - Countess Ekaterina Vlastelinovic, which in the 19th century, bought the southern part of the said islands. On the island she reconstructed a church of the Holy Trinity. Countess Vlastimirovic as a nun here spent her widowhood life.
Ekaterina was the daughter of the famous Zadar poet Jovan Sundecica, personal secretary of Montenegrin Prince Nikola. Ekaterina brother Spiridon Sundecic was Archimandrite of Monastery Savina in Herceg Novi. Enviable wealth, which is part of Ekaterina acquired and marrying a famous nobleman Ilija Vlastelinovica from Risanj, Countess invested in the reconstruction of religious monuments on the this island. Ekaterina Vlastelinovic died a mysterious death 1842. Some sources say, great wealth and assets acquired is endowed Petar II Petrovic Njegoš, with whom in life was in frequent contact. Sacred to the island of flowers, according to historical data, once again, was sold at the end of the 19th century to Archimandrite Nicifor Dučić, who continued to live here.Related to:

How to reach island
I visit Island in organized tour. We take ferry from Kamenari to Lepetane. Lepetane is about 15 minutes drive by bus to Tivat. The bus stop is near Lapetani port (name of bus stop is Lapetani trajekt).
Island is located in Tivat municipality. From there you could take bus and drove about 6 km to Island or correctly peninsula because it is connected with island by road. By bus it takes only 15 minutes.
I found out that there is several bus stops on this relation:
- Tivat - Ulica palih boraca,
- Ina Plin
- Ostrvo cvijeća okretište.
It is best to visit Island in morning because it is easier to find bus back to Tivat.
There is addition bus lines during summer and touristic season, except during Sundays when is limited suburban bus transport.
Walking is only way to discover island.Related to:
