Beach in Petrovac na Moru is about 600 m long, with reddish sand. At the ends of the beach are cafe restaurant "Ponta" and the 16th century Castio fortress. There are a lot of bars, restaurants, pizzerias… along the street by the beach. In general – it is very nice beach although often overcrowded.

View of Budva old town from the walls

Budva old town is a great place to explore. This walled town is historic, while also having lots of little shops to wander in and out of. It has not been over exploited. If you want unspoiled go to Kotor. Budva old town is charming. You can walk the walls and visit the citidel, however you can also sit in a cafe or restaurant and enjoy the ambience of this old town. It was one of my favourite places.

Drive to Perast and enjoy the calm and serene village. It is quiet and peaceful with spectacular views of the bay and mountains around. The drive up is scenic. Enjoy a coffee like the locals and look at the view.
Kotor is much more hectic, but well worth a visit to experience this historic old town. Wander the streets of this well preserved site. To see a spectacular view of the bay go to the end of the park near to the port. You can look out at the view of the bay and also see the old town from the outside. It is very hot here in the summer and very busy so it is nice to sit here away from the hustle and bustle.

    Lucice beach in August

The beach here is much quieter than the main beach in Petrovac. Ensure that you walk along the main path to see the bars and restaurants available. You can get some excellent snacks. Also walk up the hill a little on the far side of the bay to get a lovely view of the bay.

Roman mosaic in Miriste part of Petrovac na Moru is very hard to find.

If you want to see it follow this step-by-step instructions to find it:
Step 1: Find any sign showing the way to the mosaic (in Serbian it is "Kasnoanticki mozaik") – it is very easy (photo No. 1)
Step 2: Follow the signs to the St Thomas Church (in Serbian it is "Crkva Sv. Tome") – it is not so hard, too (photo No. 2)
Step 3: This is the part in which one can not find any sign anymore, so, turn right by the Church, and then again right – it looks like entering neglected private property, be brave and enter (photos No. 3 & 4)
Step 4: After a few minutes of walking one will see glass "building" (photo No. 5) – the mosaic is in it!

    Good luck.

Roman mosaic, created in 4th century AD, was discovered in Miriste part of Petrovac na Moru in 1902. It is floral floor decoration made of six coloures of stone – white, gray, black, green, pink and red.

Although this mosaic is must-see – it is artwork, very large and well preserved – it is very hard to find it.

There is step-by-step explanation how to find it in How To Find Roman Mosaic tip.
