Single Track Highway to Hell
Prcanj and neighbouring villages Stoliv and Muo are all connected by one single track road. You take your insurance excess into dangerous territory when driving down here, there are some passing points but with buses, coaches, camper vans and impatient drivers and motor cyclists it is a tough few kms. To drive along here you need your wits about you and have the confidence in the size of your vehicle.

Travelling to Prcanj from Heceg Novi direction leaves you with two choices
1. Ferry at €4 per vehicle but free for foot passengers that connects Kamanari and Lapetani at teh neck of the Bay
2. A 1 hour trek around the Bay of Kotor
When we took the ferry about 8 times during our stay and the most we waited was 10 minutes, and this was the height of summer so I would not worry about the queues. However, the narrow road that leads from Lapetani down through to Prcanj and on to Kotor is a hair raising experience and least pleasant is the stretch to the east of Prcanj.
We found that the ferry would save between 20 and 30 minutes of time than going around the bay to Prcanj, more in an evening when the bottle neck through Kotor began to wind up. The views around the bay are very good on the bay road.
