For those feeling more active and adventurous,
there are many kilometers of marked hiking trails
available, starting with easier ones towards
the more demanding ones, along which you
can find the remaining of the old houses,
bridges and mills, followed by the springs
and waterfalls, and at the viewing sites
you can enjoy and photograph spectacular
landscapes and panoramas.
Also the local fauna and wild life is very special and
some species unique to the Lake Skadar area.
Godinje is famous for it's wines and special architecture.

There are many hiking trails and this might
be one of the easiest, from July to August and early
September might be too hot in the middle of
the day so either set off early morning or
after 2,30pm but it got dark after about 7.30pm
in late August so do have a good torch with you.
Just head out on the road leading up towards the castle.
Later there are 2 forks,
one one the right to Zabes and the old road to Bar
and the one going straight on the right
towards Murici and Ostros
Trail length 4.5km
Level of difficulty: Moderate to difficult
Estimated time of pass: 4h
Attractions: Hamlet Zabes, View point Brčelice, hamlet Godinje,
wine cellars, old mills, summer house of Balsici
dynasty, view towards the islet Grmožur (Montenegro Alcatraz)
