My starting point was Mojkovac Train Station. Taxi drivers at the station offered to drive me to town for 2€. I found it a bit much for a kilometer or two, thus I started walking. One of the drivers followed me, and offered to drive me for 1€, which I accepted. At the bus station I found out that there were no more buses to Zabljak that day, and bought a ticket to Djurdjevica on a bus going to Pljevlja. The motel in Djurdjevica (pic) was not yet open for the season, but another passanger from the bus was going to Zabljak too, and we decided to hitchhike together. A local woman told us that there might come a bus from Pljevlja heading for Zabljak a couple of hours later, and in the mean time we could have a cup of coffee at hers :-) After a while a maxi taxi came by, my companion knew the driver, and he drove us to Zabljak for 2€.
The bus ride from Mojkovac to Djordjevica was spectacular! It took us through the upper part of Tara Canyon, the road is built into the steep mountain side, it is narrow and full frost boils, and stones keep falling down onto it. But the drivers are experienced, we got there safe and sound :-)
This site gives you a bit of information about the Tara Canyon:

The best place to visit Durmitor Park

We were in Žabljak at the end of May. I made the choice not to build a separate page for Žabljak but to include it in a Nacionalni Park Durmitor Travel Page.
