Amphora is a good place to go and have some drinks. This floating river cafe has a stunning interior. Out of all the river cafes I've been to this one is my favorite. The interior designer really did a top notch job here. The furniture is elegant, funky and comfy. The staff is extremely helpful. You can sit inside or on the terrace outside. We sat outside by the Danube which was lovely on a warm July evening.
Dress Code: There is no official dress code, but the place is so elegant that it's a shame to enter it looking scruffy. I do recommend putting on mosquito repellant before you come here cause the amount of mosquitos that bit me during the three hours I set on the terrace was unbelievable. The cafe staff even put out mosquito repelling burning spiral thingys all over the terrace, but believe me they do not HELP.

This is a rather new place in Belgrade. It's a place where you can have fabulous time with live music. There is no food there, just drinks. The ambient is cute, traditional and population is young. The only down side of this place is that you have to make reservations.
The most popular drink there is "kajsijevaca" which is apricot moonshine.
Dress Code: There is no dress code! Dress whatever makes you feel comfy!

This is an exquisite outdoor cafe located inside the Kalemegdan Fortress. The setting is truly one of a kind, but the view is the most spectacular part of the cafe. As you sip your drink you get to look over the Sava and the Danube. Tvrdjava Kafe is the perfect place to come for a drink and a summer sunset.
Dress Code: No particular dress code is in place.

Republika is a small pub/cafe located in the central part of Belgrade. It has interesting decor most notably the walls of the place display a map of the various former Yugoslav republics. On most nites they have a DJ who plays the latest tracks. This is a good place to come and relax while having a drink!
Dress Code: Casual place so casual clothing is fine.

Beogradska Filharmonija (Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra) is the main source of entertainment for fans of classical music in Belgrade. The concert hall of the orchestra was recently renovated. Then again renovation might not be the right word since the building is now barely recognizable when compared to its former self. Now on top of great acoustics which were always pleasing to the ear, the hall is now a pleasant sight for the eyes. The building that houses Beogradska Filharmonija, now has a rather modern look consisting of a mix of glass and very shiny marble.
The concert hall now has new seats, new wooden flooring, new lighting and new ventilation system. In fact, the only aspect of the concert hall that wasn't changed was the hall acoustics.
I attend a concert here last time in the winter of 2002. The tickets were beyond cheap, approximately $2. I got in for free cause my best friend is a musician and hence sometimes obtains free tickets.
Dress Code: Most people dress up when they go to a classical music concert. At a concert of Beogradska Filharmonija most people are rather elegant. If you happen to be there like I was, on a night when foreign dignitaries are present, you'll get to see women in expensive designer clothing and jewellery. Beogradska Filharmonija has a free coat check so you can leave those bulky winter coats outside the concert hall.

"Acapulco" is one of the rafts which has live music. It is very popular and it's hard to find place even in a workday. No necessary to go there in the day, nothing to see. But in the night, "It's show time folks".

"Blejati" (pronouncing BLEYATY) is our world for sheep voice. In the slang, it means something like "chillin'". The name is inspirated by famous "BAYWATCH". It's a raft with a swimming pool (not allowed to swim in) and it's one of the "see and be seen" places.

During the summer time, you'll see a lot of very expensive motorcycles park in front of it. I think that name of the raft is connected to old Serbian movie "Poslednji krug u Monci" (Last circle in Monza) which was about some rally drivers and it was very popular in that time.

Skadarlija is an old quarter of Belgrade (18-19 century) pretty well preserved.
As you stroll down the street you come across many restaurants and taverns serving authentic Serbian food (mostly grilled meat, with saldas, fresh bread and beer), with local musicians who play and sing old-town songs (staregradske pesme).
Of these restaurants Tri Sesira (three hats) and dva jelena (two deers) are the most famous, but you will others nice too.
Best time for visit - after dark, and better still after 21:00.

Belgrade has a very active and varied nightlife -- among the tamer of which are the cafes. There are a number of areas where you will find large numbers in the same spot -- this picture was taken on Obiicev Venac.
