IT IS THIS BIG GREEN BUILDING. IT CONTAINS MANY FLATS WHERE MANY OF THE CHINESE LIVE, AND BELOW THAT, ON THE GROUND FLOOR IS WHERE THEIR SHOPS ARE. YOU COULD FIND MANY TRADITIONAL ITEMS THERE: FOOD, CLOTHING, TRADITIONAL TEXTILES, YOU NAME IT!!
UNFORTUNATELY FOR THEM, WHEN I WAS IN TOWN IT WAS AT THE HEIGHT OF THE "S.A.R.S." OUTBREAK. THERE WASN'T A "LOCAL" SHOPPING IN THIS DISTRICT OR ANYWHERE CLOSE TO IT. ALL I SAW WHEN PASSING BEHIND THE BUILDING NEAR THE SHOPS WAS CHINESE PEOPLE. I MUST ADMIT, I BOUGHT INTO THE HYPE AND AVOIDED THE PLACE AS WELL!! Leave a Comment

The St. Nicholas Chapel has been built within the konak (lodging), which has been raised along with construction of the church. In the monastery yard, there are the graves of the Church dignitaries: Josip the metropolitan of Skopje, Dositej the metropolitan of Zagreb, Arsenije the metropolitan of Budim and Damaskin the metropolitan of Zagreb.

Only few buildings survived the WWII.
This is one of them, because it says on the galeb of the roof that it was built in 1921.
You can see on it a man holding a traditional Serbian (and Montenegro) instrument GUSLE and I can't tell what is the woman holding 'cause of the damages on the sculptures.
The initials, probably belonging to the owner of this building (at that time) are written in Serbian Cyrilics and they are D. J. Leave a Comment
