That is something similar for Turks: Simit. In Izmir, they call it Gevrek. Literally "Gevrek" means "crispy" in Turkish Language.
It is delicious in Srbija (and in Makedonija as well - the second photo is taken in Bitola-Makedonija)

Mrs Strugar is a fine cook and as a guest I felt somewhat spoilt by the quality and quantity I was able to enjoy while visiting Belgrade. I wanted to include an example and here is something close to the local 'burek', a savoury pie that can be bought at 'fast-food' places anywhere in the Balkans. Mrs Strugar makes this excellent filo pastry cheese-filled pie which can be enjoyed with glasses of sour yogurt. Dobro!
Favorite Dish: Anything Mrs Strugar comes up with is fine by me...

There are two Pahuljica ("little flake") restaurants, both by the same owner. The one I've been to is Pahuljica 1, at Zvezdara. It's situated in the quiet, green neighbourhood, almost in the forest and away from city mess, it gives the countryside impression. It has both indoor and outdoor space, and of course outdoor is better as soon as it's warm enough to stay outside. It is decorated in ethno-domestic style, and offers the sensation of privacy and being at home. There are cats and other small animals that make you feel like being on a village farm. There is also children playground, and a green sports field.

The restaurant's food is realy vonderful. It is a very big rest. with a lovely enterier. The servis is good and the ambience is WOW.
You always have a nice place to sit, but it is better to make a reservation just for any case.
They are kind, polite and thankful for chooseing them to serve you.
You should try the stake if you like it, don't miss it.
It is a little bit expensive, but not too much.
It is not a romantic place, it's a place with a good Serbian food.
