It's a large place with all kinds of cheap stuff, mainly owned by chinese. They have good stuff but also things of poor quality, but all copies of known brands.
Last time I bought some very cute socks, ahem some feminine things:-)

this store is situated on trg republike and is part bookstore and musicshop
On the groundfloor there is a bookstore and a touristshop , and dont ever buy stuff there its expensive and not really nice. Its also here u can buy tickets to local gigs and plays.
downstairs is the musicshop and english bookstore where u also can buy all the foreign magazines and newpapers ( well most of them)
I like this place because I can find cds of bands I cant even find in Denmark..
Most of them are bootlegs but since its not illegal there i have no problem buying them. they have original cds but they are about the same prize as in Denmark so no use buying them there...
oh and it seems all the good looking blokes in Belgrade work there :-)
What to pay: bootleg cds are 100 - 150 din , and original cd from local artists are 300- 450 din.
Update:
IPS doesnt sell bootlegs anymore, so now its only original cds, which are about the same price as in Denmark, so nothing saved anymore.

There aren't many shops in Belgrade that sell tourist memorabilia, but you can find many outdoor stalls in Knez Mihailova that sell these types of things. There are postcards, t-shirts, cards, badges and so on. Also, things like this can be found at the enterance to the Kalemegdan fortress!

If you're like the rest of us and can't afford crazy designer stores, you should go check out the flea market! You can find practically everything there, and it's usually the same as things in the shops, for a much cheaper price!

"Piramida" (the Pyramid) is possibly the largest shopping-mall in Belgrade.
Although it's located outside city center and does not boast with hi-profile reputation, you can still find pretty much everything you need there.
Besides couple of hundreds of shops, boutiques et al. Piramida also accomodates several decent cafes and a few places where you can eat (take-aways, bakeries, McDonalds).

What to buy: Some of the large halls at the Belgrade Fairground have been permanently converted into a shopping center with countless little shops dealing in clothing, technical devices, cosmetics, food and all sorts useful gadgets. The main advantage of this BAZAAR (as it is officially called), is that it is open Sundays as well. The Belgrade Fairground is a great place to shop when various fairs are staged and especially during the "New Year Fair".

If you did not spend at least half a day strolling or shopping no one will ever believe you ever visited Belgrade. Knez Mihailova is also a specific catwalk where the women of Belgrade like talented amateur models stage a never-ending fashion show - day and night. Having seen with their help what is the latest fashion, get your credit card or better yet some cash and treat yourself to something.
Must visit:
CITY PASSAGE shopping center, Obiliæev venac 18-20
(working days 09.00-20.00, Sat. 10.00-16.00)
NEW MILLENNIUM shopping center,
Spasiæev prolaz (entrance from Knez Mihailova 19-21 and from Obiliæev venac) working days 10.00-20.00, Sat. 10.00-16.00

Where Terazije meets Knez Mihailova you'll find Mamut. Here you'll find a large selection of CDs (from the various parts of former Yugoslavia and from abroad), book in English and other languages, and other items. The staff is very informed and friendly. On the top floor there is a caffe where you can get a free cappucino with your purchase receipt from the store.
What to buy: I stocked up on books including books about local history, children's books in Serbian (great for helping me hone my language skills), domestic music, post cards, etc.
What to pay: Varies
