Stari Grad: 1999 Bombed buildings: ministrys/headquarters
The in 1999 by the NATO bombed buildings are still not rebuilded. It offers you a sad view of what happened during the last decade in Belgrade.

Belgrade is bombed 5 times in the 20th century: at the beginning and the end of WWI, at the beginning and the end of WWII and also in 1999.

This building was built in 1935, on the ground were once stood the metropolitan's residence in 1847-49. The building was designed by the Russian architect Viktor Lukomski. The Patriarchate is the residence of the Head of the Serbian Orthodox Church, and it also serves as a library and a museum.
Muzej Srpske pravoslavne crkve (Museum of the Serbian Orthodox Church) was founded in 1954, and its exhibits from the cultural history of Serbia make it one of the richest in the country. Particularly valuable are the King Milutin's Shroud from 14th century, the prince Lazar's mantle and the chalice of Ivan the Terrible - the 1st czar of Russia.
Well, there is plan for new Patriarch court that should be build in vicinity of St. Sava temple.

    Stari Grad: Kolarac
This is yet another famous building in Belgrade, built in 1932 for cultural purposes. It's in fact the endowment of Ilija Milosavljevic Kolarac (1800-1878), a merchant who formed a trust to help the development of Serbian science and literature.

They organize lectures, language courses, concerts and exhibitions here.

    Stari Grad: Manakova Kuca 1
This picturesque old building's called Manak's House (Manakova kuca). Merchant Manak Mihailovic had it built in 1830.
In 1966 it was turned into a museum.

If you're interested in weaving or pottery, go no further! There are the workshops for learning old crafts and national handiworks on the ground floor of Manak's House. They also organize weaving and pottery courses, which can be a very interesting experience.

Well... I'm not expert for this church so I had to find more about this streucture on internet. So... here are some basic fact:
It was built in 1837-1840 by order of Knez Miloš Obrenović, a according to the design and plans of A. F. Kverfeld, a builder from Pančevo. It is built in in style of classicism with late baroque elements. The church is dedicated to St. Michael the Archangel. The interior is richly decorated. The gold-plated carved iconostasis was made by the sculptor Dimitrije Petrović, while the icons on the iconostasis, thrones, choirs and pulpits, as well as those on the walls and arches were painted by Dimitrije Avramović, one of the most distinguished Serbian painters of the XIX century.
The special value of the church is its treasury. The relics of Serbian saints Czar Uroš and Despot Steva Štiljanović, as well as the heads of the Church and Serbian rulers of the Obrenović dynasty (Miloš, Mihailo and Milan). In front of the main portal, two famous men of Serbian culture: Dositej Obradović and Vuk Stefanović Karadžić.
