Near little charming Serbian Orthodox church you can find a big wooden tower-look-a-like building with open door. People unfamiliar with Christian Orthodox tradition and architecture among Serbs maybe it could be strange and interesting to found out what is it and what is purpose of this building.
This building in description above (and presented on photo attach to this tip) is special building where is the church bell and near is place (big black box) believers can light candles.
The Christian Orthodox church is prescribed the place where believers can lighting candles. It call it "čirači" (cannot translate on English). That is usually part of church interior on the right side from entrance. There are also places outside the temple where special facilities have been made for it. This is one of them. It is very interesting design in general. I personally never seen this one before.
What is symbolism of that custom of lighting candles in church?
Lamps and candles imagine Eternally Light and light that shine righteous people - I found this answer that seems to me as adequate.
